Minnie Towler:
was the daughter of Edward and Anna
E. Rose. She died in California and was living with
her daughter at the time.
She and her husband,
Herbert, lived in Chicago, IL according to the 1900 US Census.
They lived in Hyde Park Township at the time with their two
children Edward and Martrianna. The census information shows
that there was a servant, a coachman, and three boarders were
also in the household. Herbert's occupation was listed
as "Lubricant Manager," but it's unclear what that might
mean.
Later census info does not list an occupation. Martrianna was lat er listed as a "Music Teacher" at home and
Edward was listed as an "Auto Salesman." Herbert died
in 1920. Minnie and her children moved to
California sometime after that. Was this because the corporation was
operating out of San Francisco? Lettie Crafts also
moved to California and Anna Durkee and Mary Elmer were also
found in California. The garnet on the Mining Claims
page shows a San Francisco address for the corporation.
